Hooglandse kerk in Leiden.
The city of Leiden is well worth a visit. There is history around every corner. It’s the birthplace of Rembrandt, the city with the first university of the northern Netherlands, the home of the Pilgrim Fathers. There are lovely squares and almshouses that you can visit.
You see a lot of pictures on Instagram of people strolling through the tulip fields or having lunch in the fields. However, this is not allowed. You are destroying somebody’s livelihood. You can go to designated areas such as @tulipexperienceamsterdam to take all the pictures you want!🌷
Lovely Leiden.
A short train ride from Amsterdam you can find the city of Leiden. It’s the birth place of the most famous Dutch painter, Rembrandt van Rijn. It used to be the home of the Pilgrim Fathers, before they went to the USA. There is beauty around every corner. Well worth a visit!
