During the month of April you can admire thousands of tulips all over Amsterdam. There are special tulip routes you can walk, showing you different parts of the city.
Don’t forget to take a look in the public garden of the museum on the Amstel(formerly the Hermitage museum) where you can see more than 5000 tulips/100 different varieties!
The Tulpfestival was started by landscape architect Saskia Albrechts.The idea is to have a tulip for every inhabitant of Amsterdam.

Garden designer Saskia Albrecht started this festival. At 40 locations in the city of Amsterdam during the month of April you can admire this display of colors. Over 850000 bulbs were planted to have ‘a tulip for every citizen’

Every year in the spring you can admire the flower fields. It starts with crocuses, then hyacinths and daffodils and then tulips. It’s nice to rent a bicycle and explore the area around Lisse.
